Hermans, a leading figure in the narrative psychology field, has authored over 200 publications, and will be introducing us to the core ideas of his Dialogical Self Theory and related ideas during the workshop. A co-author of Self-Narratives: The Construction of Meaning in Psychotherapy, Hermans has an abiding interest in how we negotiate the “selves” of our clients in therapy and he will be introducing thought-provoking ideas that have a capacity to refresh the ways in which we think about the apparently intractable difficulties that are presented during therapy.
